FinanceX uses identity verification to comply with Know Your Customer (KYC) laws. KYC is a multi-step process that confirms the identity of customers, which helps prevent the creation and use of fraudulent accounts.
As part of our commitment to remain the most trusted cryptocurrency platform, all ID documents must be verified through the Coinbase website or mobile app. We don't accept emailed copies of your ID documents for verification purposes.
Changing your legal name or country of residence requires you to update your ID document. If you’re changing your country of residence, you’ll need to upload a valid ID from the country you're currently residing in. You can change your personal information from your Profile page.
To verify your identity
You will be required to sign in to your FinanceX account. Then go to your Profile on top right.
Click Turn on to Verify your identity
Click Verify to KYC
STEP 1: Personal information (1)
1. Choose your nationally
2. Your Full name
3. Date of birth
4. Follow the on-screen instructions then click Continue.
STEP 2: Personal information (2)
1. Your Address
2. City postal code (you can search your city postal code on: https://worldpostalcode.com)
3. Name the City
4. Follow the on-screen instructions then click Continue.
STEP 3: ID document type
1. Your number ID
2. Select your preferred identity document type (only one).
1) Personal information
2) Government-issued ID
3) Facial recognition
Follow the on-screen instructions then click Continue.
STEP 4: Document photo
Take photo of the front of your ID card, and upload them.
Please ensure that your photo is clear and visible, and all four corners of the document are intact.
STEP 5: Take seflfie photo
Take a seflfie of yourself with a neutral expression.
Make sure your face is visible, cented and your eyes are open.
In your right hand is your identification card, in your left hand you wrote the current date and the words “FinanceX”.
STEP 6: Double check your personal information
1. Full name
2. Date of birth
3. Residental Address
4. City
5. Country
6. Document Type
7. Passport number
8. Postal Code
9. Document Photo
10. Seflfie Photo
After checking that all the information is correct, submit the KYC.
Once completed, The result of primary KYC will be available in 24 hours.
